Get off the Gas - Climate Change Project
In Biology, we demonstrated our understanding of climate change by constructing prototypes and presentations. My group focused on encouraging the riding of bycicles. Here are some questions and answers about climate change.
What is climate change and how is it different from global warming?
Climate change in a change of the average, long-term weather of a particular area or region, while global warming is a gradual increase in the overal temperature of earths atmosphere.
Why should we care about climate change, now, when it's been happening naturally since the Earth began?
The greenhouse effect prevents thick gasses like carbon and methane from leaving the atmosphere, meaning these gasses build up over time, insulating our planet more and more.
How does your project demonstrate your understanding of climate change?
It demonstrates our understanding of how fuel-inefficient vehicles pollutes our atmosphere
What was your largest area of growth during this project?
My largest area of growth was not being able to professionally present our posters. The setup for our exibition was sloppy, and we could've refined our presentation if we'd managed our time more wisely.
What was your greatest strength during this project?
My largest strength was increasing my understanding of not only how to make impressive posters and infographics, but how to identify reliable sources online.
